During college at the University of Nebraska, Dr Cory worked in
a dental laboratory while completing his Bachelors of Science in
Biology. Mentorship allowed him to progress to learn how to do
almost any kind of fixed prosthesis in the dental lab whether in
a traditional manner or the new digital technologies. As his
skills in the dental lab advanced he missed the personal patient
aspect of dental care and went to dental hygiene school where he
graduated in the top of his class. After hygiene school he
decided not to stop his learning and attended dental school
outside Chicago at Midwestern University. Patient communication
and personal connection is a cornerstone of what Dr Cory values
in his practice. Dentistry is not always simple so you will
often find Dr Cory using technology and drawing pictures to help
educate the patients about their dental needs. Outside the
office Dr Cory enjoys running or training his golden retriever
but above all he enjoys precious time with his family. His wife
Melanie was born and raised in Kailua. They enjoy time with
their son Carter in his various activities, watching the
progression of his interests and seeing who he will become in
the future. When not out running or golfing with the family Dr
Cory is working on his advanced education. He is a member of
Hawaii Dental Association, 50th State Study Club and the Academy
of General dentists. Dr Cory is vigorously working to advance
his dental knowledge and earn his Fellowship in the Academy of
General Dentists which expands general dentist education
providing them the resources and inspiration to provide absolute
best dental care.
